The rules for submitting your unique weird news stories are simple, but they must be followed!

• The stories that you submit must be your own work – You may not submit a story written by other authors and the content must be unique. No re-branded articles allowed, you must be the sole copyright holder for each article you submit. News written by a ghost writer are perfectly acceptable as long as they are being used only by yourself, all will be checked before you are published.
• By submitting your articles and stories to Weird News, you grant us the right to publish your articles or story – We may publish your article anywhere on our website or syndicate through RSS. We may also change where it appears, including the category, at any time.
• By submitting your articles to Weird News, you grant others the right to publish snippets of your articles – Other Weird News users have the right to publish excerpts of your articles on their websites, in their newsletters or ezines, and more as long as the article is left in the original state. This includes the resource box which provides you credit as the author of the content.
• No affiliate links! – The odd news that you submit to Weird News should not contain affiliate links. It is acceptable, however, to mention the URL’s of helpful sites such as “wikipedia, yahoo answers” etc… or your own website which redirects to the recommended affiliate product. Any link within the story content must be relevant to the topic and must be useful as a resource. This helps your story place higher in Serps. It is also encouraged to promote your new story to a few of your social sites, which cements your author link as authoritative.
• Submitting your articles to Weird News does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind – You will not receive compensation from Newsweird.com or the users of our News Site for stories you submit.
• Submitting an article in no ways guarantees inclusion in Weird News – We reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason.
• Articles and stories must be spellchecked and proof read for grammatical errors prior to submitting – Do not submit articles filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. We do monitor article submissions and we will reject content that doesn’t meet this requirement.
• You may attach 1 photo pertaining to your story, preferred size 500 x 350, use descriptive titles, descriptions, and tags. This applies to your stories as well.
