Giant catfish caught after trying to swallow a basketball whole

Eyes bigger than his stomach? Make that eyes bigger than mouth. Giant fish tries to swallow a basket ball.

An unusual way American retiree named Bill Driver fished out of Lake Sandalwood in Kansas, the giant catfish. Giant catfish caught after trying to swallow a basketball whole.

The Bill stood on the deck of his boat, which he turned into a home, when I saw that on the surface of the lake floats a bright ball of about 20 centimeters in diameter. Noticing that the ball was floating in a strange way, Driver took a step closer to the water to see it. Imagine his surprise when he realized that the ball – nothing else as a children’s basketball, which tried to be swallowed by something large.

Driver called his wife, so she photographed the fish had been at nontrivial bait. Bill meanwhile, went into the water and drove the catfish to the bank. Several times the head catfish disappeared under the water, but the dive, he had not succeeded, because the ball is pumped up with air every now and then pushed him out. Exhausted, the fish ceased to resist, and the drivers managed to extract it.

Pulling the fish, the man attempted to pull the ball out of its mouth, but he did not work. Then he sent his wife home for a knife, which cut the ball. Gently let the air out of it, driver pulled the ball out of his mouth, and the catfish was sent back into the lake.

Using a pole Bill was able to get the big fish to move into shallow water so he could free the fish.

After letting the air out of the basket ball it was able to slip out of the fishes mouth

I am sure that is one happy catfish to finally be rid of that ball, No knowing how long this fish had it in his mouth

Sam Fisher with a great experience, Driver said that would never have thought that the fish can be caught on a lure. I certainly would not have thought of a Giant catfish being caught after trying to swallow a basketball whole.
