Have scientist finally identified the forbidden Fruit

Wanting what we can not have or should not have

We always want things we can not have. Maybe we shouldn't have it but we still want it. In fact the more we can't have, the more we want.

The forbidden fruit is any entity of craving whose appeal is a direct result of the knowing that it cannot or should not be obtained or something that someone may want but is forbidden to have. Do you think scientist finally identified the forbidden Fruit?

Psychologists have a named this complex, given us by early biblical writings.  It’s the forbidden fruit complex, and almost everybody has it to one degree or another. Women have a name for this too.  It’s called playing hard-to-get.

Through out time man has identified this fruit in many forms. Some have claimed it was the apple, while others have thought it to be the grape, fig, mushrooms, tomato and even wheat has named as the potential forbidden fruit.

The expression most generally refers to any extravagance or pleasure that is considered illegal or immoral and potentially dangerous or harmful, particularly relating to human sexuality.

In some interpretations, the ‘apple’ was simply a metaphor for sexuality, ‘the first sin’ and so forth. This is heavily disputed, especially since the first commandment given to Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis was to “be fruitful and multiply,” so that would seem an opposite.

In the philosophical novel Ishmael, the story of eating the forbidden fruit is described as a metaphor for the loss of quality of life caused by the change from a hunter-gatherer culture to an agricultural based society. Man will continue to try and identify that exact fruit to no avail.

Every man knows the difference in right and wrong, good and bad. Therefore, from my perspective the forbidden fruit must certainly be anything that we know in our hearts is wrong.

One could also argue that sentencing all man kind to a certain life of misery due to a single mans actions, is the greatest injustice ever committed. Have scientist finally identified the forbidden Fruit? The answer is no, because the real answer is truly within each of us.
