Weird – fighting girls on the rise

It’s not just boys who have physical fights in schools these days. A study by HHS’ Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration says over a quarter of teenage girls were involved in a serious fight, such as an attack intended to hurt someone badly. Fighting girls is becoming more wide spread, Do we have media to thank for this? Womens kickboxing, wrestling etc…

The information came out of SAMHSA’s National Survey on Drug Use & Health. The survey found that girls between 12 & 17 who were in these fights were more likely to have engaged in binge drinking historically in the past month, or to have used drugs.
